Little Fire Big Heart

Event Information

After Rick and Taryn Skees had their second child, Aiden, they learned he was one in a million. Well, actually 1 in 160,000 to 200,000. That is how few people are born with the rare genetic condition that Aiden has, called Apert Syndrome. After finding support from the non-profit organization Children's Craniofacial Association, they decided to continue to support CCA's efforts by organizing this event in Aiden's honor to benefit CCA.

"Little Fire, Big Heart" is a name that came from the meshing of the Irish meaning of Aiden ("Little Fire") with the tremendous amount of heart and strength he has exhibited t. It also recognizes the "Big Hearts" of those that have been there lending support to Aiden's family every step of the way.

The first annual Little Fire Big Heart silent auction and dinner will be held at Mellwood Art Center in Louisville, KY. It will be "red-tie" optional - meaning men can wear suit jackets, slacks and a tie (a red tie of course!) and women can come dressed to impress in the color of the evening...red! (Tuxes are not required).

The evening will include wine, beer, a signature drink provided by Dumante, silent auction bidding, appetizers, and a seated dinner. There will also be guest speakers, a video presentation and a performance by Louisville's own Patrick Henry Hughes to make the experience one you will not forget!
